Two great lessons struck my heart from the concluded political scenes and drama that happened in Lagos State Nigeria. On the 2nd of October 2018, the governorship primary election of the All peoples congress took place between the present Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and Babajide Sanwo~Olú. While Babajide Sanwo~Olú defeated the present governor with a poll of 970, 851 votes to 72,901 votes.
Before the primary election took place, the party presented a new candidate in the person of Sanwo~Olú which was so surprising and unusual in the politics Nigeria because of the second term tradition of the system of government practiced. The Party had rejected the present governor Ambode. This brought about lots of talks and debates in every gathering and sittings of people in the state.Published inThe Nation
