In the first part of the power of God’s Holiness, I wrote on God’s Holiness While in part two, I will be expounding on the responsibility of the believer to holiness

Understanding the Believers Responsibility to Holiness

David asked a very important question in the book of Psalm 24:3 – “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4. He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully” Hebrews 10: 14 says “For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.”

Jesus has made us holy, and he has also given to us the confidence to approach the Holy God without being destroyed by the power of His Holiness.

1. You must Understand that Jesus is the way to Holiness and not Holiness the way to Jesus

2. Holiness is not about what you do but about who you belong to – “I will be their God and they shall be my people”

3. Holiness is not about playing church and having a form of godliness but it is about sincerely seeking the true and holy God each day of your life

4. You must be Born Again – John 3:3 – It is when you give your life to Jesus that you belong to Him. Holiness only results from a right relationship with God by believing in Jesus Christ as Savior (accepting His gift of eternal life).

Eternity is far longer than Humanity

5. Set yourself apart. – 2 Corinthians 6: 17. “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,”

6. Do not tolerate sin – Be intolerant of sin in your own life. Being intolerant of sin also means rejecting it in the world around you, though. No matter how much you may love someone, when that person sins, you must not make excuses for the sin or accept the sin itself.

7. Coperate with the Holy Spirit – GIVE room to the Holy Spirit to keep you holy. It’s his joy and responsibility to keep and present you as holy to the Lord

8. Pray for holiness. Being holy is a difficult task and cannot be done in the absence of God. Prayer is a powerful resource—one of the most powerful tools available to the believer, in fact— praying for holiness on a regular basis can help you become and remain holy.

Lastly understand that To be holy we must be separated, obedient, connected and owned by God {Relationship}

Prayer : Thank you Jesus for going all the way for my salvation and making me holy by your one and only offering of your blood

Song: Holy are You Lord. All creation call You God. Worthy is your name. We worship Your Majesty. Awesome God. How great thou art. You are God Worthy are Your miracles. We stand in awe of Your Holy name. Lord we bow and worship You
