GUIDING PRINCIPLES OF BOUNDARIES

These principles of Boundaries helps us to develop righteous character.

LIMITS – You must understand and remain in the limit of God so as not to fall into bad consequences. If Adam and Eve had remained in the limit given to them by God, we would not be where we are today. Biblical boundaries keep us from becoming a party to things that do not please GOD. Luke 9: 23. “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me” “Everything is permissible (allowable and lawful) for me; but not all things are helpful (good for me to do, expedient and profitable when considered with other things). Everything is lawful for me, but I will not become the slave of anything or be brought under its power” – 1 Corinthians 6:12 AMPC

TRUTH – You must know the Truth of God so as to be able to make the right choices and remain in God’s blessings.

RESPECT – We must learn to respect God’s boundaries, and others’ boundaries and set your own BOUNDARIES as well, that is having self control – Proverbs 25: 28. “He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.”

SOWING AND REAPING – Our choices and behaviors always have their consequences, because man will always get what he sows. God’s Boundaries help us make the right choices.

What is Freedom

Freedom is not the right to do what one want, but the ability to do what we ought. Freedom is much more than the right to act as one chooses/ or to be free to do as one pleases. If only the world understands what true freedom is.

It is terrible to be physically bound {prison} but more terrible and grave it is to be under the bondage of sin and death.

John 8: 32. “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 33. They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free? 34. Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” Therefore, the freedom Jesus promises is not about setting us free to do whatever we wanted; but the freedom to do what we ought to do. It is a freedom to make us walk in relationship with God and to be the kind of people He created us to be. The freedom that gives us the ability to obey God and choose His will over our lives. This is the freedom that sin had long denied us. Without Christ, we are slaves to sin, unable to do what is right. Christ’s death on the Cross set us free from the penalty and power of sin.

The Youths of today have taken their idea of freedom into an Era of increasing addiction – Drug Addiction, sex, pornography, evil crave for money, greed and materialism which is nothing but grave bondage
